Water Features and Pond Projects
Water Feature Design and Construction Project, Teton County, Wyoming
Biota was hired to design and implement a water feature establishment project for a ranch development project on the west bank of the Snake River north of Jackson. The project included design of about 8 acres of diverse water features with emphasis on establishing wildlife habitat and complex wetland systems. Our efforts incorporated detailed topographic and hydrologic assessment results to inform water feature design. We compiled detailed revegetation plans with specific plant species mixes and planting strategies to achieve wildlife habitat establishment criteria.
Elliot Creek Pond and Wetland Project, Teton County, Idaho
Biota worked with a diverse project team to design, permit, and establish low elevation impoundment structures to establish and maintain diverse water features on this property located east of the Teton River. We compiled and submitted Clean Water Act Section 404 permit applications for the multiple off-channel pond and wetland features, and the project successfully established a complex network of water features with high quality emergent and scrub-shrub wetlands to achieve habitat and aesthetic objectives.
