Biota provides a wide range of environmental consulting services. Many of our contracts have dealt with compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and other federal, state and local regulations. Also, more general and interdisciplinary biological and ecological site assessments and environmental impact statements have been prepared based upon BRCI's field work, literature reviews, and consultations.
In addition to impact assessments, Biota has both the ability and experience in designing and constructing a variety of habitat enhancements. These enhancements focus on fish, waterfowl, big game, upland game, and non-game terrestrial and avian animals. Biotas staff is trained in techniques for delineating, creating and restoring wetlands and preparing wetland mitigation plans for Clean Water Act compliance.
We also provide services in the scientific wildlife research field. The principal, staff, and associates employed by Biota have graduate degrees in environmental fields and provide a diverse range of talents and expertise. Strong interests and backgrounds in scientific research allow BRCI's staff to design, conduct, and analyze in-depth research projects.
