Biota was founded in 1977 and incorporated in 1981 following four successful years in business as a partnership. Corporate headquarters are located in Jackson, Wyoming. Biota retains a staff of 6 full-time employees and multiple associates on an as-needed basis. This highly qualified and motivated team has a combined working experience spanning decades in diverse fields under a wide variety of conditions at both national and international locations. Our experience involves all facets of environmental work, from experimental design to implementation, from data gathering to analysis and interpretation, from report writing to permit acquisition, and from agency consultations to project management. Most importantly, this team has worked together successfully for a number of years.

Biota’s personnel are active in both the scientific and academic communities. Numerous papers and several books and monographs have been authored by the principal, full-time staff, and our associate staff. Papers have been published in both refereed scientific journals and popular magazines.
